Herbal Teas!

Essential oils and polyphenols
aid digestion by stimulating peristalsis and the production of
digestive juices.
CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM
Intriguing evidence that Puerh,
a black tea long famous for its medicinal qualities, reduces
blood triglycerides and cholesterol, lowering the incidence of
heart attacks.
TEETH
All teas, but green teas in particular,
contain fluoride, a mineral that prevents the development of
bacterial plaque leading to tooth decay.
CANCER
Polyphenols in green tea have recently
been identified as antioxidants and shown to reduce the incidence
of skin, lung, stomach, and liver cancers in laboratory animals.
Research is preliminary but promising.
VITAMINS
Some studies show green tea contains
significant amounts of vitamin C. Tea also contains small amounts
of other vitamins and minerals such as potassium.

PREGNANCY
Women who consume at least a half a glass of tea per day are

AS A TRADITIONAL MEDICINE
Many cultures believe that tea will promote longevity. It is
used as an anti-bacterial, the wet leaves are used as a compress
to relieve the itch of insect bites and sun burn, as an antifungal
and to releave tired eyes.
Dharma Teas is aware of two potentially
negative effects of tea.
1. Tea can inhibit the abosorption of iron
in the body when consumed with foods. This can be avoided
by not drinking tea 30 minutes before or after eating.
2. Tea can cause complications
with people suffering from high uric acid.
We at Dharma Teas are not physicians but lovers of the leaf.
For medical concerns consult a qualified physician.
